GRAPHIC DESIGN
In my role at the Duke Initiative for Science & Society, I assisted the Associate Director and Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications to develop and execute Science & Society’s goals through the use of creative graphic design. These designs served myriad purposes, including marketing our MA Program through social media advertising campaigns, promoting of our various programs, and designing materials to tell the story of our department.

I also implemented Science & Society’s strategic communications plan by designing effective and innovative video content. This work served the department’s overall mission of recruiting potential students, informing the community of our work, and extending our partnerships at Duke University and beyond.
PODCAST
I launched and produced the podcast, “Technology by Design.” This involved purchasing the necessary equipment and designing a high-quality mobile podcast studio. I recorded and edited bi-weekly episodes with a diverse group of guests to explore the fields of technology and tech policy, and in the two years that the podcast ran, I created a brand identity and marketed individual episodes to relevant audiences.
EVENT PRODUCTION
I served as a member of the team that designed and launched a series of “Coronavirus Conversations.” These virtual events drew hundreds of audience members from Duke University and beyond, and brought together experts from various fields to discuss the vast societal implications of the pandemic. In our penultimate event we hosted Dr. Anthony Fauci and Mr. Alan Alda for a discussion on “Restoring Faith in Public Science Agencies.”
